Arkansas hospitals play a pivotal role in the state's emergency and disaster response system, working hand-in-hand with local governments, agencies, public safety services, and the entire community of health care providers to plan, respond, and care for those impacted by disasters, bioterrorism, and other public health emergencies.

Working in partnership with the Arkansas Department of Health, the Arkansas Hospital Association uses grant funds for regional planning and education for hospitals and health care coalition members across the state. The state of Arkansas is divided into seven regions with each region having two co-leaders and a secretary. If you need assistance in reaching out to your emergency preparedness co-leader/secretary, please contact Lyndsey Dumas.
